These terms explain how Lichen uses SMS for appointment, intake, document, client care, sales follow-up after consent, and service coordination messages.

Program description
Lichen SMS messages may include appointment reminders, scheduling updates, intake questions, document follow-ups, service coordination, client care messages, sales follow-up after consent, and related administrative communications from Lichen, Inc.
How to opt in
You may opt in by providing your mobile number and checking an unchecked SMS consent box on a Lichen form, by asking Lichen to text you, or by agreeing during a direct business conversation to receive text follow-up from Lichen at the mobile number you provide.
When Lichen collects SMS consent through a form, the consent language states that you agree to receive appointment, intake, document, follow-up, and service coordination text messages from Lichen at the mobile number you provide; message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; you can reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help; and consent is not a condition of service.
Lichen does not use SMS consent for purchased lists, affiliate marketing, third-party lead generation, unsolicited cold text campaigns, age-gated content, or lending offers.
Consent is optional
Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing, requesting, or receiving services from Lichen. You may contact Lichen by email instead.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your request, appointment status, relationship with Lichen, and active work. A typical interaction may involve a small number of messages around scheduling, intake, document coordination, sales follow-up after consent, or service-related follow-up.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge fees depending on your plan.
Opt out
You can opt out of Lichen text messages at any time by replying STOP. After you opt out, Lichen may send a confirmation message and will stop sending SMS messages to that number unless you opt in again.

Privacy
Lichen handles SMS-related information as described in the Privacy Notice. Lichen does not sell mobile numbers or SMS consent information. Lichen does not share, sell, rent, or provide mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or SMS consent status to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Availability
Text message delivery may depend on your carrier, device, network, and the availability of communications providers. SMS should not be used for emergencies or urgent legal, procurement, or safety deadlines.
